Many people put off their first orthodontic visit because they are unsure what to expect — or they worry they will be pushed into starting expensive treatment on the spot. At Platinum Orthodontics, that is not how we operate. Your first consultation is completely free, pressure-free, and focused on giving you the information you need.
Here is exactly what happens when you come in.
Step 1: Digital X-Rays and Photos (10–15 Minutes)
Before Dr. Kamdar examines your teeth, our team takes a set of digital X-rays and photos. These let Dr. Kamdar see the full picture: root positions, jaw structure, teeth that have not erupted yet, and any issues that would not be visible from looking at the surface alone.
Digital X-rays use a fraction of the radiation of older film X-rays and are ready instantly — no waiting.
Step 2: The Clinical Exam (10 Minutes)
Dr. Kamdar personally reviews your records and examines your teeth and bite. He is looking at alignment, spacing, how your upper and lower jaws fit together, and the health of your gum tissue.
He will note any issues and begin thinking about the best treatment approach for your specific case.
Step 3: The Conversation (10–15 Minutes)
This is the most important part. Dr. Kamdar will explain what he found, walk you through the options (braces, Invisalign, or in some cases, a referral for other dental work first), and answer every question you have.
You will hear: - What treatment we recommend and why - How long treatment is expected to take - What the all-inclusive price is — upfront, with no surprises - What insurance we accept and what payment plans are available
Step 4: The Decision Is Yours
There is no obligation to start treatment that day. Many patients want to go home, think about it, or talk it over with a spouse. That is completely fine. Our records are on file whenever you are ready.
